If your gross income (turnover) is over £50k for the 2024-2025 tax year and you are a Sole-Trader or own properties, yes MTD will affect you.

So, what does this mean?
Sole-Traders and Landlords with an overall income above £50k need to have MTD for ITSA compatible software in place before 6 April 2026. This is when the first phase comes into effect.
Those with income above £30k will be mandated from April 2027.
When MTD goes live, Sole-Traders will be expected to submit quarterly returns.
